A glorious film for people who love films, and Brits. Tristram Shandy the post-Alan Partridge take on Spike Jonze’s Adaptation is a very clever work. Shandy may be the best film within a film within a film yet made. In fact I think it may be the only film within a film within a film yet made. Comparisons to Spinal Tap will prove less useful than one would initially think. So don't do it. Lastly, Shandy actually does seem to make an honest (and possibly successful) attempt to capture or at least emulate or at least pay respects to the great Laurence Sterne novel (which I swear I will probably never finish).
