Dear Girl,
It takes about 2-3 episodes to get a feel for the characters in ATHF. So be sure to watch a few in a row before you decide “how much” you love it. And maybe even watch with other people (husbands, friends, neighbors, anyone). It’s a fun show to watch with others. Not like a Bresson film, which is best watched alone. Or a Fassbinder, which is downright discomforting to watch with others. In fact, I get uncomfortable just knowing there are people out there who may have seen the same Fassbinder films as me.
