In other news, I found some stunning
wild onions last night on my walk. Some of them as big as eggs.
There's this guy in NY who has a website on urban forage -- it makes me so
happy. A 15 minute walk in a southeastern city suddenly turns into a
harvesting trip.
I like to take my walks at night so
people don't think I'm a super freak, digging up weeds in the alley.
These ones I found last night were next
to a fence by a parking lot about 10 blocks from my house. The best part
about wild onions/garlic is the bulbs are underground -- meaning no risk of dog
pee.
(Of course I wash them, moron.
There's still dirt.)
